The AI Nero 7 Wavemaker is the most powerful in the Nero Line-up. Capable of pushing 15,142 Litres per hour (4000 GPH) at only 40W max power consumption. The Nero has been known for its versatile use and compact design which creates an excellent user experience and that hasn’t changed with the Nero 7.

The Nero 7 is very sleek despite its power, coming in at just 61.6mm (2.42”) from the internal magnet to the outlet side and only a 86mm (3.38”) diameter. The outer magnet is 12.9mm (0.51”) making it easy to install in low profile areas such as behind tanks or even installed on the side with minimal visual impact.

The unit produces a large amount of wide gentle flow excellent for all corals. This allows the unit to generate a nice spread of water movement making it more effect in areas which require a larger area of effect. Not only this but the unit is smart controlled through the MyAI application which allows for configuration of the pump. Within the app you can program multiple modes individually or a part of a schedule to allow for vast flow variation.

The available flow patterns consist of constant speed which is a set amount of flow pushing at the same rate throughout the entire schedule. The pulse mode which is excellent for getting dead spots within the aquariums due to the slow down and speed up which effectively pushes the water into different areas because of resistance. Finally, you have the random flow mode, this mode mimics nature by changing flow rates throughout the day generating plenty of different flow pattern and turbulence. You can program a day schedule to include all 3, just 2 or simple just 1 of these modes and control each section of the schedule in terms of power.

All this control is nested in the MyAI app which features an easy and simple dashboard with direct links to the main operation of the unit. This allows for use of the feed mode, resume schedule, pumps on for full power or pumps off for maintenance all from your phone. Not only this but you can also program the pumps flow rates on the fly allowing you to visually see the pumps effect at different power while setting up the unit to ensure you get exactly what you are looking for.

The Nero 7 is excellent for any aquarist and will allow you to control aspects of your flow and enable you to achieve your preferred flow rates and patterns. Its simple and sleek design make it easy to install and simple to maintain also. It supports 20mm (0.79”) glass thickness and is highly recommended for tanks of 302-1892+ Litres (80-500+ gallons)
