Equipped with a high performance UV Filter, aquarium water levels are not only left filtered and oxygenated, but water is sterilized via ultra violet LEDs. In turn, algae, bacteria and protozoa is prevented and controlled. The Aquael Internal UV Filter 500 is suitable for 100-200 litre aquariums and is incredible easy to operate. The UV LEDs can be switched on or off, independently of the filter, to tailor to your aquarium's every need, and the direction of water flow can even be changed up to 90°. The Aquael Internal UV Filter 500 has been integrated with a ceramic rotor axis for optimum durability and enhanced quiet performance. The media chamber of the filter has also been specially designed to prevent water flowing into the tank during water changes.
For best results it is recommended that the two separate sponge cartridges provided are removed and cleaned in turns, to ensure that essential nitrifying bacteria is protected at all times.
