This pack of Bio Balls from Betta (approx 400) offers superb biological filtration for any sized aquarium. With a vast surface area their unique shape and structure provides fantastic water clarity whilst preventing problems associated with clogging.
The Bio Balls anti-clog ability comes as a result of its large surface area, as opposed to other forms of porous biological media. Bio balls need to be used in conjunction with a pre-filter so that any larger particles are sure to have been removed before coming into contact with the Bio Ball.
Bio Balls from Betta also offer fantastic aeration. Their large gabs allow for water rich in oxygen to pass through and mix with the dispersed water surfaces. This excellent interaction between gasses , air and water provides the best results for biological filtration as well as increased oxygen levels for the conversion of ammonia into nitrites ,
