Reef Octopus Bio Spheres
Reef Octopus Bio Spheres are a specially made encapsulated pellet containing a 100% pure biological polymer carbon. These pellets are designed to be used in a fluidised media reactor to increase available carbon to special bacteria strains which ultimately lower nitrates a phosphates. These bacteria will then be skimmed out by a protein skimmer to be removed from the system entirely.
Bio Spheres are to be used when looking to reduce nitrates and phosphates or in ULNS (Ultra Low Nutrient Systems) to keep the levels where you require. Each pellet is designed to encourage growth of the bacteria and enzymes in the pellet surface where is feeds directly of the pellet to reproduce and continue to lower nitrates and phosphates.
