This specially designed Eheim media set consists of three special types of media produced by experts at Eheim's head quarters and are manufactured using the very best raw materials. All products are quality checked in order to guarantee that they are free from pollutants. 

Fine and coarse filter pads for mechanical and biological filtration 

These fine and coarse porous material filter pads become evenly soaked with water and trap large and small dirt particles. After a short start-up period, purification bacteria, colonise at the special structure of the foam, providing intensive biological decomposition of the harmful substances found in your aquarium water. The pads are reusable several times over and can be cleaned by rinsing through and squeezing out before placing back inside. 

EHEIM MECH

Eheim MECH is an expertly manufactured pre filter material made from hollow ceramic rings. It successfully traps large dirt particles by the swirling motion of water once it enters the filtration cycle. Once the water is treated, it continues its way through the other filter layers to ensure superb water clarity. Eheim MECH is also washable and re-usable and suitable for freshwater and marine set-ups. 

Eheim SubstratPro

Eheim SubstratPro is an optimized bio-filter medium which helps to achieve clear, healthy water conditions by providing intensive colonization of the important purification bacteria needed for converting important substances in your aquarium. The biological filter media consists of pearl-shaped sintered glass. The unique spherical shape of the beads give a high bulk density allowing for full utilization after the first mechanical cleaning process is completed (e.g. EHEIM MECH or MECHpro).

Eheim SubstratPro works by reducing peak nitrate loads with ease and in turn, increasing maintenance intervals - thus reducing the time needing to be spent on keeping the water conditions clean manually. 

Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums, Eheim SubstratPro can be washed and re-used, but it should be noted that cleaning and changing of media should never be done together as this will reduce the entre bacteria culture.
