The Juwel Rio 450's filtration is the Juwel Bioflow 8.0 / Bioflow X Large, Jumbo filter, housing an Eccoflo 1000 LPH Pump. This also contains Coarse Sponge, Fine Sponge, Nitrax, Carbon Sponge and Polly Pads to ensure the very best water quality. The filter measures a slim 15.5 cm x 10.2cm x 41.7cm. The filter is also where the 300w heater is located, in a uniquely designed area so there is no unsightly heater in view.

As mentioned earlier, one of the most impressive features of the RIo 450 tank is the LED lighting system. This has been integrated into the tank and is highly energy efficient and offers excellent light penetration, whilst also ensuring that limited heat is given off inside the tank so that minimum impact is placed on the aquarium itself.

Another huge positive is the fact that MultiLux LED bulbs are completely replaceable. With many aquarium, customers have to purchase an entirely new lighting unit once the bulbs begin to lose their quality over time, but this is not the case with the MultiLux LED bulbs and this makes a huge difference over the lifetime of the aquarium.
