For the Standard, and Bioflow L sized Filter Sytems. Phorax is a highly effective filter medium used to control phosphate levels in the aquarium and therefore algae growth. This can also lead to improved plant growth.
Phosphates regularly gets into the aquarium water from tap water, fish food etc and usually just build up. Small amounts are good for plant growth but excessive amounts lead to prolific algae growth. Suitable for both freshwater or saltwater aquariums.
