This Laguna UVC 11w bulb has been specifically designed by experts at Laguna to fit perfectly inside the Laguna Pressure Flo 2500 and 5000 UV filters. This replacement bulb is an effective way of reducing and controlling common problems like green water algae inside your pond. The 10 watt bulb from Laguna is easy to fit inside the Laguna Pressure Flo 2500 & 5000 filters and is constructed from weather-proof, long lasting materials for an ultra durable finish.
Green water algae is a common problem in ponds and can be caused from high concentrations of substances in the water such as a build-up of organic matter, fertilizers leaking into the water, or pond debris such as leaves and foliage which become rotten.
The UV bulb in your Pressure Flo filter helps to destroy the tiny algae cells which can turn your pond’s water an unsightly green colour. Replacing old and broken bulbs will help to keep your filter working to the best of its ability, keeping your pond looking perfect. The 10 watt Laguna UVC replacement bulb from Laguna works by causing algae to clump together into groups so that they become too large to float. The groups of algae then pass through the system to be removed by biological filter foams within the Laguna Pressure Flo 2500 & 5000 models. For the best results it is advised that the 10 watt UV tube should be replaced every 6-12 months.
