Purolite MB400IND Mixed Bed Indicator DI resin 60/40 1L
Purolite MB400IND is a premium grade 40% cation and 60% Anion indicator mixed bed resin. This resin is a high-quality and long-life resin to be used after the RO process to further reduce TDS readings. The key difference between this and the standard resin is the dye indicator on the anion side of the resin. This indicator is pH sensitive and will turn the resin from blue to gold in colour offering a visual indication of when your resin is exhausted.
This type of resin is especially useful in a system where TDS is not monitored continuously as once the colour changed, this will indicate that possible TDS is leaving with the clean water. This Resin uses the mix of 40% to 60% as the Anion exhaustion is undetectable on a TDS meter due to the first leaching substance being silica. When the Cation is exhausted, the first leaching substance is Sodium, which a TDS meter will detect. This mix allows for full use of the Cation while providing a safe buffer on the Anion to avoid possibility of missing exhaustion causing issues. Below is a list of substances that the types filter
