The Red Sea Alkalinity Pro Test kit is part of the Reef Foundation stage of Red Sea Reef Care Program. The Alkalinity Pro Test kit is extremely precise to an accuracy of 0.05 ppm or 0.14 dKH and enables accurate dosing when using the Red Sea Reef Foundation B Buffer supplement to ensure you use no more or no less than you need to bring your Alkalinity up to the correct level.

Alkalinity is important to ensure a stable pH level is kept and ensure the overall ionic strength is maintained.

Calcium, Magnesium and Alkalinity play major roles in providing the correct water chemesty to ensure the following needs are met, skeleton formation, photosynthesis and ions exchange. All these elements are the foundation to any thriving coral reef.

The kit comes complete with analytically grade glass vials, chemical resistant durable case and a precise triator.

The ideal Alkalinity level goes as followed,

Soft Corals, 2.9 meql or 8.2 dKh
LPS, 4.3 meql or 21.1 dKh
SPS Frags, Clams and Accelerated growth, 4.5 meql or 12.6 dKh
SPS Mature Corals, 2.9 meql or 8.2 dKh
