Red Sea Phosphate Pro ComparatorTest Kit. Element, PO4 Accuracy, 0.02 ppm Test Type, Comparator No of Test, 100 All Pro Test Kits come in a durable plastic housing and use optically clear, analytical lab grade glass test vials. The Phosphate Pro Test kit tests for Phosphate levels as part of the Algae Management stage of Red Sea's Reef Care Program. Red Sea's Phosphate Pro test kit works to an accrucy of 0.02 ppm and when used with the Nitrate pro test kit enables very accurate dosing of Red Sea's NO3 P04 x Which is a biological Nitrate and Phosphate reducer. When nitrate and phosphate levels are high it causes a growth unsighly algae and an in balance between the zooxanthellae algae and the coral for the now abundance of available resorces, causeing the zooanthellae algaes population to explode. Zooanthellae is a type of algae that lives in the soft tissue of all corals part of a symbiotic relationship. This algae expolsion results in corals becoming dark in color and will eventually cause harm. So keeping your Nitate and Phospate levels low maintains the balance you need for vivid looking corals and healthy fish. The ideal Phosphate level goes as followed, Fish, Soft and Hard Corals, 0.02 ppm or less Why not watch the offical Red Sea video on the Algae Management Program
