Reef Zlements Vanadium 150ml
Vanadium is a metal present in reefs all around the world in different states of oxidation. It is an essential element for many marine creatures as it is an enzymatic cofactor, promoting many processes to occur, particularly in the metabolism of cells. This transition metal is extremely important in colouration, growth of coral tissue along with other organisms present in the aquarium.
Vanadium is depleted quickly in our aquariums and because of that, it is best to monitor this element via ICP testing and address any issues with it via dosing if required. Stable levels will benefit the aquarium the most. In natural seawater, Vanadium is in a concentration of 1.8 µg/l.
