Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium 200g
Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium 200g is designed to provide strontium and carbon dioxide for zooxanthellae (the symbiotic algae within coral). It supports healthy growth of corals but providing the element in a crystalline form. For growth and well-being of reef-building corals, a sufficient supply of strontium is close to being as important as the availability of calcium and magnesium. Although it is available in smaller quantities in the sea, biological processes, precipitation, and incorporation into the calcium skeleton can still lead to a strontium deficiency there for it is important to maintain strontium levels within an aquarium.
