AI Blade Refugium
The AI Blade Refugium is built to provide the perfect spectrum for macro-algae growth. Refugiums provide many benefits to your reef aquarium, being a home for microfauna such as copepods, shrimps and other beneficial creatures, to reduce nitrates and phosphates naturally in your aquarium without needing to dose or use other methods to bring the numbers down, or even to increase pH slightly thanks to the oxygen produced by macroalgae during photosynthesis.
The Blade Refugium is a hardcore horticultural spectrum of red and blue, this spectrum boosts growth in plants such as macroalgae which will increase the uptake of nutrients thanks to its demand for growth. The blade Refugium come with 6 red, 6 royal blue, 6 cool white and 6 430nm. This blend of spectrums is what makes up the fine-tuned energy that the macroalgae wants to grow.
The Blade Refugium also features the new EdgeField optics, providing a even PAR and excellent spread meaning you can get more from your refugium with less lights and less cost. The optics provide an amazing 95° spread. This not only means he unit can cover more area, but it can also be placed closer to the macro for higher PAR without sacrificing the coverage as much.
The Blade Refugium includes the low profile tank mounts so it can be installed on to your sump in seconds, the rest extends up to 4.5” either side for a total of 9” extension to fit an array of sump refugiums. The blade also meets the IP66 standard for protection against particles and high level of protection against water.
The blades design means that the unit operates silently thanks to the passive cooling system. The body of the unit dissipates heat efficiently thanks to the high-quality finned body. The fins increase the surface area of which the heat can leave the unit from.
