BiOrb Ceramic Media
BiOrb Ceramic Media is used to remove toxic fish waste and other harmful substances from your aquarium tank water, leaving it clear and hygienic for healthy plant and fish growth. Once established BiOrb Ceramic Media is full of holes for beneficial bacteria to colonise. Just 900g of ceramic media has the surface area equivalent to a football pitch!
More BiOrb Ceramic Media can be used to increase the surface area of your water filtration. Over time, the pores of the media can become blogged, thus replacing your BiOrb Ceramic Media is advisable. If you wish to change the media you should do so gradually, in stages. Changing the media gradually allows the existing filter bacteria to move across and colonise the new media from the old.
Maintaining your water filtration by replacing some of the media every year or so can increase the efficiency of your filtration substantially.
