Fluval’s Bio-Foam has been designed for both mechanical and biological filtration, the complex foam structure of the Bio-Foam allows long lasting effective filtration and ideal surface area for beneficial bacteria.
The newly designed Bio-Foam has a removable central core to allow additional media to be used with the U1, Fluval Recommend the Fluval Clean & Clear Cartridge for optimum filtration resulting in crystal clear water.
The U1 Bio-Foam is specifically designed for the Fluval U1 Internal Filter, its advisable the foam should be replaced every 3- 6 months to ensure optimum filtration.
