Reef Zlements Sulphur 2500ml
Sulphur is a Macro element which is found abundantly in all reefs around the world, usually in the sulphate form. Despite Sulphur being a Macro that is typically replenished with water changes and addition of food or supplements which contain higher levels of sulphate, Sulphur is still able to be depleted within an aquarium. Sulphur has been linked highly t bacterial activity and thus can have a serious issue with bacteria in lower or higher concentrations from what is normally found.
It is especially important to check corals for pathogenic bacterial activity (Such as STN or RTN) and check sulphur levels through ICP testing to ensure that ranges are correct as it could be the issue. Sulphate and sulphur is not yet fully researched and ideal ranged are still yet to be determined. However, it is suggested that sulphur be kept at 900mg/l +/- 5% (865-945mg/l) which has been shown to be a safe amount.
