Exoterra Sub Stratum 2KG

The Exoterra Sub Stratum 2KG is a specialised, mineral rich substrate system for terrarium plants collected from the foothills of the Aso Volcano in Japan. It is a highly porous and nutrient rich substrate capable of providing all the minerals needed for optimal plant growth. This ensures extremely vibrant and strong plants for your animals to hide in and explore.

The substrate can be used as a sole substrate, mazed with other substrates or used as a layer to a substrate system.

For sole substrate use Add a layer of 1-2”/2.5-5cm to the terrarium. The bacteria will active when the substrate is in contact with moisture. This will ensure that left over food or animal waste will decompose over time and be absorbed into the substrate eliminating orders and feeding plants. It is suggested that the substrate is partly replaced every 12 months.

For Additional layer use, add a top layer of substrate to the sub stratum such as plantation soil. This will allow the plants to still access the sub stratum for nutrition.

For mixed in use, simply mix the substrate into your mix batch which will allow for a healthy microbial colony and a great feed for your plants.
