Tropic Marin Ca/Mg Pro Test
Tropic Marin Ca/Mg Pro Test is an essential test kit for any reefer. Calcium and magnesium alike are very important parameters in a reef. Being building blocks for coral growth or even shell growth on things like snails, calcium and magnesium are depleted overtime. To ensure the parameters are always in favour of the creatures in your aquarium, calcium and magnesium should be monitored closely to ensure that these levels remain stable and available to the organisms that require them.
In natural salt water, the calcium is between 400-410 mg/l (ppm) and the magnesium is 1280-1320 mg/l (ppm). A such they have a fixed ratio of 1:3.25. This ratio should be maintained as best as possible due to the chemical and biochemical interdependencies between these two elements.
